Twenty Year Old flaxen haired beauty Eliza Dushku is no newcomer to film. Though she may be new to all of us, this magnificent creature is more than just a pretty face. She's a seasoned veteren. While she got her start at the tender age of Eight playing opposite Juliette Lewis in the sleeper "That Night," and followed that up with roles in "True Lies," with Ah-Nold Swarzenegger, and "This Boy's Life" with Leonardo DiaCaprio, Dushku just recently came to the attention of the world at large with a scene stealing role if the hit WB show "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer," where she generated a huge following of loyal fans. Going from TV, back to her film roots, Dushku shook her thang in last summers teen blockbuster "Bring It On," and will soon take theaters by storm again in the frightfest "Soul Survivors" which will send her soaring into the stratosphere. Dushku, who grew up in Boston, MA says, "It's weird now that people know who I am. I used to walk around, do whatever I wanted, even after I did movies. I never thought that would change. Now someone knows me almost everywhere I go. It's almost scary to me. I sit back and think, 'What has happened?'" She has certainly made her mark, and has paid her dues. With a bright future ahead of her, this lovely young lady can only go one place from here, and that's ahead. 2001 will bring Eliza to the frontlines of America's mind, and she's ready for that. "I can handle it. I think as long as I keep my personal life personal, and draw distinct boudaries, I'll be okay," She says with a wisdom beyond her youthful age. Is she aware she's a sex symbol? "I have seen the things people write about me. It throws me a bit, but it's flattering. There are worse things in life than being a fantasy girl," She laughs. Well, the fantasies of young men (and young ladies) are about to be fueled when Dushku arrives at the local multiplex in 2001... Bring it on! |
