He has done it all. Television, film and theater. There is no mountain this hunk can't climb! Most recently, 35 year old Craig Bierko can be found stomping his way down Broadway as Harold Hill in the revival of "The Music Man." Previously, the multi-talented Bierko can be seen in the Miramax thriller "The Thirteenth Floor," "The Suburbans," and the sci-fi television series, "Red Dwarf" in syndication.
If nothing else, one wonders when the busy Bierko has time to breathe, up next he will be featured in the Independent films "Drop Dead," and "Sour Grapes," co-starring Steven Weber.
This brilliant actor, who has mastered every arena of his craft is on the cusp of being a household name, and deservedly so. One would think that with a resume like his, he would be already! Having done everything from 'The Golden Girls,' to 'The Long Kiss Goodnight,' it seems that Bierko was Hollywood's best kept secret!
Not anymore.
After receiving rave reviews on Broadway, which earned him a Tony Award Nomination for Best Actor in a Musical and Drama Desk Award Nomination, as well as the 2000 Outer Critics Circle Award Nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Musical, and the esteemed 2000 Theatre World Award, Bierko has moved directly onto the industry HOT LIST. It's about time!
"I'm very happy right now," Bierko says to Wildnet of his success, "But I think it's a priority to be happy personally, before professionally," he adds. Currently, Bierko is in a long standing relationship with Comedian/Actress Jannean Garofalo.
"It's what I've always wanted. She's my best friend," he notes with a twinkle in his eye.
One thing is for sure, when all is said and done, Craig is the one to watch in the upcoming year, and well worth the wait!
