He's literally a 4'7 powerhouse, and has the voice to back it up. When this little man sings, people listen. In fact he is the youngest person ever to have a record in the top 10 billboard charts, and he shows no signs of slowing down!
"All I really want is to please the people," Gilman says, his voice exuding infectious enthusiasm. And he certainly has.
His video for the inspirational single "One Voice," tells the story of a boy on his way home from school, and the heartbreaking reality we all live in. The song itself strikes an emotional chord, and has been in heavy rotation both on CMT and VH1, creating an even broader audience for the pint sized prodigy.
Up next for 2001? Well, there's that performance at the American Music Awards, where he is also a nominee. Then there's the tour, and then the Grammys! Not to mention all the studio time he'll be putting in for the upcoming album!
All of this, and he never even starred in a 'Home Alone' Movie! Nevertheless, one would think that this mature one-in-a-million would have handled himself just fine!
